Once you decide to place your car transport order with any auto transport company, claim to see a copy of their auto transport "Terms and Conditions" which also has their Bill of Lading. It is a good idea to see the Bill of Lading legal terms of the car transporter before you make an order and place your payment, not during pick-up!
Also make sure you wash your car before the car shipping process starts. The unique Bill of Lading is a record of the vehicle inspection of your car during pick up; it is to be agreed and signed by both you and the driver after the real inspection. At when the car is delivered, it is again inspected by the driver with you or your manager, both parties needs to sign again, noting if there are any further changes that need to be made. In case of any claim it then it must be filed within 2 weeks for sure. In the occasion of damage, you should complete the payment of your auto shipping COD during delivery and then send your claim request application to the transporter.
