When your car is being shipped remove all the unnecessary items from the vehicle. All the antennas must be fully removed. Certain personal items like jack and spare tires can be kept in the vehicle. All other personal belongings must be removed. Even exterior items like spare tire covers, grill covers or car covers must be removed. Certain hazardous materials are forbidden by law to be transported. Even certain non permanent items like luggage racks, bike racks or ski racks must be removed. All other things like GPS systems and satellite radios have to be removed. Your vehicle should have engine coolant, transmission oil and other fluids so that it can be prepared for the new climate. Even one set of all keys for the vehicle must be provided to the shipping company.
