Some useful tips to keep your car clean are as follows:

Do clean the floors, fabric upholstery, mats and under seats properly. Always clean the mats with soapy water and then scrub it. Use a damp cloth to wipe down areas like dashboard, center console, steering wheel and the inside of the doors. Always clean the inside of glass with a dry paper or non-ammonia glass cleaner. When the glass is dry, polish it with crumpled newspaper.

Always wash your car in a shady place. Wash the car only with a shampoo that is made for car. When cleaning the outer part of the car, start with the wheels, wash them thoroughly. Use sea sponge, cotton chenille pad or sheepskin mitt to wash the surface of the car. Wash the wheels, thoroughly.

Use a pre-wax cleaner to remove blemishes such as tar, water spots and insect remains. Wax your car every six to ten weeks. Synthetic waxes will last six to nine months between applications.
