Production sustained until 1967, at which point it was dangled from the manufacturing line. The 3000 gained much success in the rally car circuit, and in fact, is tranquil used today by some racers. It won several European rallies in its heyday - which is not gone by enthusiasts. Not that it really matters considering both the 3000 and the 100 before it were known merely as "the Austin-Healey car" in the 1950s, since the company was basically a single-vehicle marquee.
