May is Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Month

Greg Winter, the program manager for WVMSP, says that May has traditionally been a time to remind and encourage other motor vehicle operators to be careful and observe motorcycles, especially during their return to West Virginia roads and highways.
In 2010 there were around 33 motorcycle deaths in West Virginia which shows an increase of 10% from 2009. Governor Earl Ray Tomblin announced that May month will be the Motorcycle Safety and Awareness month.

Child Passenger Safety

Keeping children Safe on West Virginia roadways is a priority for the GHSP. Several certified instructors and technicians are trained to install the car seats properly.
The current West Virginia CPS Law states that all children below eight years must be properly secured in child safety seat, which may include a booster seat.
