How to ensure your pickup and delivery go smoothly? Whether you're there or not.

Moves are stressful. Moving your car can add to that, but here are some pro tips to make sure things go smoothly:

Wash your car prior to transport. At pickup, the driver will do a vehicle inspection report. This records the condition of your vehicle (any dings, dents or damages). The less dirt your car has, the easier it will be to notice any damage it may have.

Take pictures. Taking pictures of your car is a good way to cover yourself in case of any damages made during transport. Photos taken on your phone won’t take more than a few seconds and it will make you feel more secured about your cars safety once it gets loaded onto the truck.

Make sure the battery has a full charge and that the tires are properly inflated.

Don’t over pack your Vehicle.  Only up to 100lbs of luggage may be shipped inside the trunk. More weight can cause safety issues and could incur additional fees.

Make sure your loading & unloading area is easily accessible for the auto transporter. This will allow the driver to quickly load & unload your vehicle.

If you can’t be there for pickup or delivery have a trusted friend, neighbor or relative release or receive your vehicle. The most important job of that person is to check that the inspection of your vehicle is accurate.
