How to find and pick a car shipping company?
You want to find a car shipping company that will do the best job at a reasonable price.
Step 1: Go online to receive rate quotes for the transport of your car. I personally would google “auto transport companies that have been in business for a long time”. Then I would compare the companies on 1st and 2nd page of google.
Step 2: Fully research the companies you are interested in using. Here are some websites you should look at: Google, Yelp, BBB, TransportReviews and TrustPilot. Normally, the best transport companies will show up on all of these review websites.
Step 3: Make contact with the companies you are interested in using to transport your car. Get in contact with a representative of the company by phone and ask questions; if you can’t reach a real person when you’re placing your order, what are your chances of reaching someone when something goes wrong with your shipment? Some questions to ask are:
How long have you been in business?
How does your car move scheduling work?
How long does it take to transport my vehicle?
Will my vehicle be insured and for how much?
How far in advance should I place my order?
What are my payment options?
Step 4: Read the terms and conditions and make sure you understand them. Find out about the liability insurance in case your vehicle is damaged while in transit. Also check with your own insurance company to see if they offer secondary insurance while your car is in transport.
